Looking for something extra special?

We highly recommend dinner at the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs restaurant in the Grootbos Private Nature Reserve just a short drive away. As a Crayfish Lodge guest for three nights or more, we invite you for the evening of your arrival, so you can feast on an outstanding multi-course gourmet dinner (subject to table availability, beverages are not included), courtesy of Crayfish Lodge. Note that Grootbos dinners cannot be booked otherwise. But we can certainly make alternative dinner recommendations.

• Rates are per person, include VAT of currently 15% and are quoted in South African Rands (subject to change without prior notice).
• All reservations require full pre-payment. This can be done via credit card (MasterCard or VISA) or bank transfer to South African or German bank accounts one week before you arrive, which is the end of the cancellation period.
• All requests, confirmations and cancellations are only valid if given in writing.
• No departures/arrivals on New Year’s Day/January the 1st of each year.
• Provisional bookings will only be held for the period of time stated on the provisional confirmation; thereafter the booking will automatically be released.
• Long term bookings (i.e. more than 14 days) and exclusive reservations for the entire house are by prior arrangement only.
• Cancellation Policy
  • 31 days prior to arrival: 10% of total accommodation cost
  • 15 to 31 days prior to arrival: 50% of total accommodation cost
  • 8 to 14 days prior to arrival: 75% of total accommodation cost
  • 0 to 7 days prior to arrival: 90% of total accommodation cost
  • Check-in day cancellation, early departure or no-show: 100% of total accommodation cost

The cancellation fee is a percentage of the full accommodation account and is not dependent on the Lodge’s occupancy level. Any funds over and above the applicable cancellation fees will be refunded.

If available in your country, we recommend that you take insurance cover against penalty fees resulting from travel cancellations.
